Brazos Valley Juniors will have tryouts for the 2019-2020 season in late October/early November for 11's, 12's, 13's, and 14's and in mid-November for 15's-18's. Although many volleyball clubs have tryouts in July, Brazos Valley Juniors believes that it is in the player's, the family's, and each team's best interest to have tryouts AFTER the athlete has completed their school season. This allows for the development of the athlete, both physically and in their level of interest in wanting to play volleyball in the spring. It allows each family to make a good decision on whether they want to commit the time and resources necessary to play on a team in the spring. It also allows us to evaluate athletes at tryouts, based on current ability, much closer to the season's start, than if we were to have summer tryouts.
For our 11's and 12's, we will offer a BRAVO Academy in September/October leading up to tryouts so that your new volleyball player will be ready to go. This is not required, but offered for girls that want to get some good training in fundamentals.
We also plan to continue to offer small group training for all ages during the school volleyball season. And we will offer our very popular tryout clinics in the two weeks leading up to the 13's-14's age tryouts.
Tryout registration will open on August 1st.

BVJ 15 National Headed to Junior Nationals After Qualifying at Lone Star Classic
BVJ couldn't be happier for, and prouder of anybody, than we are of Haley Slocum. Haley played her entire club volleyball career from 11-18's for Brazos Valley Juniors and has been a proud and loyal member of the Texas Aggies Volleyball team. This week, she received a gift that is well deserved. Haley is an inspiration to every girl that loves the game and understands the value of being a terrific teammate in addition to playing volleyball for all the right reasons! Watch!
Bravo Academy General Information
BRAVO ACADEMY (formerly known as Patriot League) is a developmental volleyball training academy designed for boys and girls in 4th and 5th grade. We will accept players younger or older, but understand that the instruction and drills are geared to 10-11 year old players. This is a training academy, not a league that offers games and tournaments. We will teach the basics so that your athlete is ready and excited to hopefully try out for BVJ in the fall!
This registration session will allow you to complete contact information, sign up for participation, and submit payment.
Our next session of BRAVO Academy will begin in late summer.
The cost is $135. The price includes all skills training and a BVJ dry fit shirt.
There are no refunds given for sessions that an athlete is not able to attend.
All sessions are tentatively scheduled at Rudder High from 6:30-8:30 pm.
